Part seven and eight.

When she was finally alone Alexis picked up her black backpack. She looked down at her orange tee and blue jeans. It was nice of Piper to give her these but it wasn't her. For her it was too bright and calm. She preferred the tattered, old black jeans that were originally three sizes too big but now were still big but at least she didn't need a belt. Also she wanted back the "All American Rejects" tee. She walked out of her room and saw everyone else was in the dining room, yelling. Perfect she thought. Alexis walked to Piper's room and walked in. Her jeans and tee were in the trash. She reached down and gently pick them up. It felt like if she applied any pressure it would dissolve in her hands. Quickly she ran into her room. Within a few minutes she was back in her jeans, tee, and dark blue hoodie. She walked onto the deck in front of the ship. She sensed that they were going approximately 120 MPH. The wind through her hair felt great, but it was putting her hair back into a giant tangle. The thought of Piper combing it out came to her mind. Oops. She gripped the railing and the cold of the metal beneath her hand sent a chill down her spine. She smiled, it was ridiculous but at this moment she was happy. Which sadden her, she hadn't been this happy since the last time she was in Brooklyn. When she was thirteen she was walking down the street it had been the first time her father paid her any attention. She was on the sidewalk heading back from school at Yancy Academy. The orphanage was two blocks away, she could even hear the small children playing in the back yard. She had pulled out her phone to check the time and on the black screen she saw a symbol above her head. A sea green trident, floating right there in the middle of the street but no one paid her any attention. This clearly wasn't the weirdest thing they had ever seen. Until a tall man wearing a trench coat grabbed her arm and pulled her into the alley. His green eyes glowed under his hat, or should she say eye. He threw her against the dumpster and kicked her in the gut. She began to taste a mixture of blood and bile in the back of her mouth. He got one more kick to her before the world went black. When she awoke it was dark and the man was gone, her backpack was still there. She stood up unsteadily and limped to the orphanage. She was yelled at for an hour after she got there. That night she left and hid on a boat going to Greece. Where she stayed for three years without any major trouble. She didn't hear anyone walk up and stand next to her, it was Leo. He was studying her like the way she had seen artist study landscapes in Greece. She looked at him out of the corner then looked back at the horizon. "Are you okay?" He asked. She heard a twinge of worry in his voice. Alexis looked at him and smiled. "Yeah," she spoke softly, "I'm fine."  He smiled which made her feel slightly better. "Normally Percy helps us with keeping the waters calm for us. But he's been gone for a while and now he's been too distracted to do it." Alexis looked at him. "And?" He smirked. "And I want to see if you can do it." She got nervous. "I don't know I've never done it before." He looked at her and he smiled gently. She thought, who smiles that much it kind of scares me. "Here just relax and close your eyes," she listened and she closed her eyes. "Now just think of the water beneath your feet. Think about something that makes you relax." Calmly she nodded. She felt the water relax. She smiled then opened her eyes. "Cool." He was smiling back at her. Alexis walked back inside and went into her room. She sat at the edge of the bed and cursed at herself for falling in love, again.

The water was calm tonight thanks to Alexis; and Leo's help. Alexis stood at the helm of the ship closely studying the waves. The rhythmic sound of the ocean could put anyone to sleep, except for her right now. Her mind was racing at a million miles a minute. She walked over to the couch and sat down. Slowly she lied down and stared at the ceiling. The calming beat of the water under her made her think. Leo said they were going somewhere after Greece so that meant the boat would be docking, soon. Then she could run again. But she thought of Percy that morning how he made her laugh. And Leo who got her insane mind to relax for the first time. But the idea of someone actually caring for her made her stomach twist into knots. She didn't even realize she fell asleep. In the middle of the night she was woken up by Leo looking down at her, smiling. "Hey Leo." she said while sitting up. He didn't say anything all he did was walk to the front of the ship. Alexis stood up and walked to her room. She didn't go back to sleep that time. She just stared intently at the blank ceiling. The window behind her showed all the stars, it reminded her of a little time in France. When she sneaked into an art gala and got to see Starry Night by Van Gogh. When the sun rose up out of the horizon Alexis still never slept. She stood up and walked in front of the mirror. Alexis pulled her hair back into a knot. The walked out of her cabin. The entire ship was eerily quiet. “Everyone must be asleep.” She said to herself. Alexis walked into the dining hall and sat down at the table. She ate a plain bagel with cream cheese by herself. After three hours she got suspicious. She knocked on Percy’s door, no answer. Then she tried Leo’s door, nothing. Using her power of the ocean Alexis made the boat trip to the left. She heard a few people fall to the ground, she smirked slightly. After ten more minutes Percy’s door finally opens. “What happened? Are we under attack?” There was some panic in his voice. Alexis smiled. “No, we’re fine. Sorry to wake you.” He glared at her slightly then walked back into his room. She walked back into her room and sat on the floor. When she got bored Alexis had this habit of picking the cracked nail polish on her fingernails. But after the past few days she picked it all off. She felt the ocean beneath her. Within a 1,000 meters there was land. Alexis ran to the front of the ship. Using all her force she positioned the boat in port. After twenty minutes it was finally in port. Her head started to spin. She gripped the railing tightly, her knuckles turned white. The she realized they were back on land. She ran inside, grabbed her things, along with her skateboard and iPod that she told no one about. When she was ready Alexis scribbled a note explaining that she was leaving. She ran to the front of the boat with a smile plastered on her face. Her vision blurring from how fast she was running, Alexis jumped the railing and landed perfectly on her state board and skated away from the only people who cared about her.
Here's part five and six.

She paced back and forth across the room. After the sun had risen that's when people woke up but luckily for Alexis they were too tired to notice them. Leo barely made it to the dining room. The only one who was awake enough to pay her any attention was Annabeth. Naturally she said hi but then she saw Percy. Annabeth rushed to his side trying to wake him up. Now Annabeth terrified Alexis, there was just something in her storm gray eyes that made Alexis want to say everything she had done wrong. So when Annabeth turned around and stared at her that's when Alexis knew the true meaning of fear. "What happened to him?" Annabeth said. Alexis said everything that happened and stopped herself from saying her last name remembering what Leo told her. Alexis didn't even notice everyone else walking out to see what was happening. Everyone was scared for Alexis, they recalled what happened when Percy disappeared and was replaced with Jason. Sadly Alexis didn't know about this, all she knew was that Percy and Annabeth were going out. Under her breath Alexis apologized. "Sorry? That's all you have to say? You put him in such a state of shock he passed out. I knew it was unwise to bring you here. We should've left you in that mall." It would've been easier and less painful for Annabeth to have just thrown Alexis off the ship. With tears in her eyes Alexis looked at Leo and said. "How far away are we from the closest harbor?" Leo walked to the screen. "About twelve miles. Why?" Leo looked at her expectantly. Alexis didn't say anything. All she did was walk down to the stables, pick up her backpack and skateboard. While she was down there everyone left to eat breakfast leaving Percy alone on the couch. Alexis walked back up and saw Percy on the couch asleep. Even though she didn't know Percy that long he was still her brother. She walked over to him, carefully she took off her sliver necklace and she put it in his hand along with a note explaining everything. She walked onto the deck and to the back on the boat, little did she know behind her was a one way window and Leo was the only one watching. Alexis walked in front of the railing prepared for the cold, dark water beneath her. Leo stood up abruptly and left the dining hall. Everyone else thought he heard something wrong with the ship. Leo walked beside Alexis, calmly he said. "What are you doing?" Alexis looked at him. Leo had never seen a girl so sad. She seemed worse than Annabeth when she couldn't find Percy. She spoke calmly, clearly she had spent years covering up her emotions. "I'm leaving. You told me Annabeth was the daughter of Athena so she's never wrong. And when she says something is unwise she must be correct." A single teardrop glinted off her cheek. At this moment Leo got a good look at her. Her dark hair contrasted with her pale skin. Her green eyes weren't like Percy's, her were harder and darker. She was smaller than all of them. Even though Piper gave her an Aphrodite touch her skin was had dirt specked in different spots. He realized that Alexis was going to jump off the ship and swim back to Greece. "You can't leave." He said. Alexis walked in front of him and looked him in the eye. "Why? They don't want me here. Percy and Annabeth hate me. So I'm going to go back to Greece find a way to go to South America." Her shoulders dropped. Leo stepped back and she looked at him. He looked into her eyes, she had started to tear up. While she was wiping her eyes she muttered something about how she hated crying in front of strangers. She sat down. "You're not leaving. No demigod left behind." He helped her up and brought her inside. He took her into the commons area were Percy must have woken up and left. He set her down on the couch where he sat next to her. "I'm sorry." She said under her breath. He smiled. She didn't know why but his smile kind of annoyed Alexis. "Here I need to show you something." He stood up and walked to a room like Piper's at the end of the hall. But this one had just a twin sized bed, a dresser with a mirror above it, and a window that took up one wall that showed just the calm waters of the ocean. She looked at him confused. "What's this?" He smiled. "If you're going to stay with us you might as well have a room to sleep in. I wouldn't want you to sleep in the stables every night." She thanked him and set her backpack on the bed. She didn't realize that it was already getting dark. "You should sleep." He said. She nodded. "Goodnight Leo," she leaned over and kissed his cheek. "And thanks again." He walked out and shut the door behind him, he knew he was bright red.

No matter how much she tried Alexis didn't sleep that night. Her head was full of questions that she didn't want to talk about. She realized no one else besides Leo knew she was still here. By a force of habit she reached up to touch her necklace then she remembered she gave it to Percy. She grabbed her backpack and pulled out another necklace she kept at the bottom of the bag. It was a simple gold chain with a square charm. It wasn't even real gold. She took it from a jewelry cart on 22nd street. She was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed in front of her when someone knocked on the door. She looked at her watch, which she also stole, it was 2:16 am. Carefully she walked up and slightly opened the door. On the other side was Percy. His eyes were frantic they were darting around everywhere. When his eyes set on her he relaxed. He took her arm and hugged her. Alexis struggled her way out of his grasp. She looked at him confused. "What are you doing?" He reached out to touch her shoulder but before he could she pushed his hand away. Alexis stepped away from him. She was scared because no one had ever shown any kind of affection to her. He just noticed that. "I'm sorry. I was relieved to know that you were still here." Percy said. "Why?" Alexis said. "I mean you're my sister. I've always wanted a sister. Come on, we need to talk." Percy spoke in a calm voice. "About what?" Never in her life has Alexis ever been so confused. "Well," Percy said seeming just as nervous. "I need to know something about my sister." He smiled at her but she didn't smile back. Percy led her to the commons area. Where he brought her hot cocoa. They talked all night. He told her about his life. Her favorite story is when Annabeth had found him at Camp Jupiter and she flipped him. That was the first time in a long time that Alexis had laughed for real. She told him about her life too. He said when she had been a stowaway on that ship it was interesting. He said he had been on every kind of boat except for an actual cargo ship. The only thing that told them it was morning was Leo walking out of his room to check on the ship's status. "Hi Leo." Alexis said happily. That really woke him up. He hadn't heard her be actually happy before. So it surprised him. "Umm morning Alexis, Percy." They nodded at each other. Alexis didn't get why guys did that. She smiled and shook her head. Percy walked her to the dining hall since they were the first one's there they continued talking. He told all the things demigods should know from the story of Kronos to the fact they weren't supposed to use phones. Which she was fine with since she didn't have any friends. When people woke up and started to file in. Leo stop them from going in. When Leo walked away they walked in and were surprised to see Alexis and Percy talking like they had known each other for their entire lives. They all walked away, when Annabeth woke up she still believed that Alexis was gone and on her way back to Greece. So when she walked into the dining room to see Percy and Alexis talking. She was surprised but when she made Percy laugh the same way that he laughed when she made him laugh, she got mad. Alexis noticed her. "Morning Annabeth." Alexis smiled and walked out of there leaving Percy and Annabeth. Alexis walked past everyone in the common. "Morning everyone." She smiled and walked to her room.

Part three and four!!

She walked onto the deck on top of the ship. She gripped the railing so tightly her knuckles turned white. She wanted to scream and go back to the mall. But they were too far from the harbor to swim back. She heard foot steps behind her, Alexis kept looking at the horizon line. It was Piper who walked up and stood next to her. "Can I help?" Alexis looked at her. "With what?" She said. Piper took a lock of her tangled hair. "Well," Piper said."You look like you haven't brushed your hair in weeks." Alexis smirked. "What?" Piper said. Alexis took her hands off the rail. "I haven't brushed my hair in two years." Alexis said. Piper gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. Piper quickly took her elbow and took her to a room. Where Piper brushed her hair, washed her face and gave her a new shirt and jeans. The shirt was orange with "Camp Half-Blood" written across it. "Better." Piper said. She even gave her a haircut, just a trim so that it was at her shoulder blades. In the distance Alexis and Piper heard arguing. "They're looking for you." Piper said. "Why?" Alexis said nervously. As a habit Alexis reached up and stroked the pendant around her neck. Piper noticed it. Together they walked out and to the dining area. Piper walked through but Alexis stayed back. Whiten a few seconds Piper motioned for her to walk in. Alexis walked in, a few strands of hair were in front of her eyes. Leo walked in and looked at her. "Well Pipes you really gave her your Aphrodite touch." Leo said jokingly. "So, Alexis right?" Hazel said. Alexis nodded. "What's your last name?" Leo looked scared and started shaking his head. Hazel looked at him confused. "It's-" Before Alexis could say anything Leo put his hand over her mouth and dragged her out of there. Once they were out of there Leo had dragged her outside on the railing at the front of the ship. Alexis pushed him off her. "What is wrong with you?" Alexis said angrily. "Don't tell them your last name until they're ready. Right now it will be too much for them to process." Leo said. "That guy Percy is your brother." Alexis looked shocked. "Half brother right? That's how it's supposed to work." Leo shook his head sadly. "No his name is Percy Jackson." That time Alexis really did scream. She broke down and started yelling at no one. Leo brought her inside and took her downstairs to the stables. Alexis was still panicking. Leo had set up three bales of hay then he handed her a sword. Then left her down there by herself. Those next ten minutes were now a blur to her, she only remembered screaming, hay flying around, and her own muffled words.

When she woke up Alexis was laying on the torn on hay staring at the ceiling. It was dark so she knew it was night. She stood up and walked back upstairs. No one was there, so Alexis stood onto the deck. The familiar smell of the ocean water made her feel better. The railing was slick with water which made it even colder. She sat down on the floor and let her feet dangle over the edge. A wave of emotions flooded her at that moment: fear, sadness, anger, happiness, and most of all resentment. She didn't hear someone walk up behind her and sit down. It was Percy. "I didn't know I had a sister" She jumped. It was strange Percy was nothing like her. He seemed calmer and more of a leader. It was like he was the side of their father that made it a nice day at the beach and that created horses. While she was temperamental and stayed to the side. And that she was the side that created tsunamis, earthquakes, and threw men off ships. "Well," she said. "I didn't know I had any type of family." He smirked then he looked at her serious expression. "Oh, you're serious. What about your mom?" Alexis shrugged then she told him about her life. How she lived in an orphanage in New York until she was thirteen. That she was a stowaway on a boat heading to Greece where she stayed for the past three years. Living in dumpsters and taking money from fountains, people, and anything she could get it from. That was more than she meant to say. Alexis reached up and grabbed the pendant around her neck. Percy's eyes widen. "You need to tell me your last name. Now." She shook her head. She stood up but before she could go anywhere Percy grabbed her wrist. Were all these people stronger than they looked? "Tell me." She flinched then she nodded reluctantly "M-My last name is... is." He looked annoyed. "Is?" He voice was harsh. "Jackson." At that moment many things happened. The next thing she knew Alexis was putting Percy, who had passed out, on a couch.

More coming soon!

On this blog I will post a fanfictions I wrote. The first will be a Percy Jackson based story. I will put it in parts. To begin, here's part one and two.

Alexis was sitting by the mall fountain collection the coins that people threw in for charity. Well, she thought. I am a charity case. So thank you people of this mall. She picked up a dollar coin and she stood up happily. "Thank you people of Greece!" She had caught the attention of the two security guards that were talking by the smoothie hut. They had shouted at her in Greek. She pulled out her skateboard and rode as fast as she could. The dark blue hood she had pulled over her black hair at the last second had fell off. Alexis turned around really fast to pull it up, but before that could happen she ran into someone. "Ow!" She looked up and saw a boy about her age, sixteen, with curly brown hair. "Hey, watch where your going!" She shouted at him. He grew this baffled look on his face. "Me? You were the one who's riding a skateboard in a crowded mall." He looked down at her rolled up sleeve were her trident tattoo was exposed. Alexis quickly pulled it down. "You're a demigod aren't you?" He had said. She started to worry. If this boy was another monster she'd have to find a home, again. "I don't know what your talking about." She stood up and picked up her over turned skateboard, she caught a glimpse of herself in the axle. Her green eyes stared back her. She realized that the boy was looking at her with curiosity. "What?" She had said with more anger than she meant. The boy took her arm and rolled up her sleeve. He looked at the tattoo. "You're a demigod! I knew it!" He had surprised her. "Let me guess daughter of Poseidon?" She nodded. "What's your name? I'm Leo Valdez son of Hephaestus." She stared at him wondering if she should reply. "Alexis." She relaxed a little, she nervously grabbed the sliver pendant around her neck. The engraved J reminded her of her home in New York. "Alexis Jackson."

"J-Jackson?" Leo stammered. He looked shocked, scared, and amazed at the same time. "Yeah. So?" Alexis strapped her skateboard to her backpack and put her coins in the side pocket. Leo grabbed her arm and started pulling her towards the exit. Alexis tried to stop him, but he had more stength the he looked. He was an inch taller than her, which was fine with her. She has always been shorter than everyone else. His curly hair had more tangles than her's and she hadn't brushed her hair in two years, much less a shower and her dirt stained face proved that. He was also scrawny which made her mad that he was stronger than her. "I have some one you should meet." He turned to face her and he had this wicked grin on his face. But he kept walking toward this group of six other teenagers. People had always made Alexis nervous. The ocean that was a few blocks from her always had been her home. Which made sense because of her dad. Leo had stopped in front of them, slowly each one of them turned to face them. A girl with blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail covered her mouth. They were all yelling at Leo, he had started to rub the back of his neck nervously. No one was paying her any attention at the moment. Alexis started backing away from them. Slowly she started to run in the other direction, but before she could a strong hand grabbed her elbow and pulled her down to the ground. She looked up and all those teenagers were around her, looking down at her. At that moment in time she had never felt smaller. She started to panic. Her heart rate quicken along with her breathing. One of them, a girl with braids in random parts in her hair. She was pretty, but she was also intimidating. She started talking to her but Alexis didn't hear anything over her heartbeat. The only thing she had heard was her name, Piper. Piper had gotten them to back away from Alexis. She stood up shakily. Before she knew what she was doing Alexis pull out her skateboard and she was running out of that mall. She had heard Leo yelling after her. But Alexis knew where she was going it was the only place she felt safe, the ocean. Within a few minutes Alexis was sitting on the sand again. She felt safe for all of two minutes, that when one of those other teenagers showed up. He looked like her, same windswept black hair and green eyes. But his eyes were softer and looked like they had experienced more pain. He sat down next to her, Alexis felt very uncomfortable at that moment. "I'm Percy." He said. His tone seemed familiar like she had heard it in a dream before. "I know you're scared. You've probably been on the run for a while. Running from monsters, police, and your past." Alexis nodded. "I would know we've all been through the same thing" Percy said. He helped her up and brought her back to the group. Each one of them introduced themselves. There was Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, and Leo. They took her to this ship that was by the harbor, Alexis noticed it earlier when she was going to the mall. Suddenly she stopped. "Wait," everyone turned to look at her. "Where are you taking me?" Jason was the first to speak up. He was handsome but he wan't Alexis' type. His blonde hair and blue eyes seemed to kind and gentle. And he was taller than her which always made her uncomfortable. "You're coming with us." She backed away. Frank stepped behind her. Frank was obviously the muscle. He was muscular but he seemed to be kind, he had black buzzed cut hair. "F-Fine," Alexis said. She boarded the ship that Leo said was called the Argo II. They sat her down at a long table with empty plates and glasses. Food. She thought. She hadn't eaten anything in two weeks. She thought about a turkey sandwich and a Sprite that she got everyday after school at this sandwich cart two blocks from the orphanage. Alexis looked down at her plate and it was there, then she looked back up and everyone was looking at her expectantly. "What?" It came out harsher than she thought. Jason told Leo to start taking us out of here. Leo stood up, smiled at her then walked out. Then everyone started talking to each other, leaving her out. Alexis knew they were talking about her. So she stood up and left without a sound.

More shall be posted shortly.
